SSQ Insurance Claim Form and Submission

SSQ Insurance Claim Form and Submission

Knowing the ins and outs of submitting a claim to your insurance provider is the key to getting the most out of your current group benefits plan. The claim submission process in Canada has gone impressively well in recent memory.

Just last year, Canadian Life and Health Insurance Facts came out with a statistic that only 1 out of every 100,000 claims resulted in a complaint. This ratio means that most claims filed by Canadians were approved and paid for in full. That is what a good group insurance plan does for you and your company.

For those of you with SSQ group insurance, here’s how you can submit a claim.

Submitting an SSQ Claim Online

The way that most people submit their SSQ claim form is through their website, ssq.ca. The site features a section entitled Customer Centre, which serves as the hub for your claim filing needs.

Before you submit a claim, you’ll need to register for the Customer Centre. To do this, click the login button on the company’s home page, then select “Insured.” From there, you’ll see a subheading, “Not Registered?” Click the “Register” button and follow the instructions to register.

Once registered, you can submit a claim. In the Customer Centre, go to “Group Insurance” and select “Submit a Claim.” This link will bring up a list of eligible treatments. Click on the appropriate one for your situation.

When filling out an SSQ claim form, if your service provider fails to appear in the initial dropdown list, you can search for a service provider by entering their phone number or name. After that, the process is relatively straightforward—fill out some information about your claim and click “Confirm” to file the claim.

SSQ is known to process claims rather quickly. In most approved cases, you should be reimbursed within 48 hours from the time of approval.

Submitting an SSQ Claim Through the Mobile App

Did you know that SSQ offers a free, easy-to-use mobile app for its plan members? It’s available on both the App Store and Google Play

Similar to submitting on the website, you need to register for the Customer Centre before using the app to file a claim. Once you do that, you’ll be able to use your login info or fingerprint to access the mobile app.

You will see the option to submit a claim on the app’s front page, making it a fast and easy process. The app also allows you to track your existing claims’ status, check your eligibility, and provide you with an estimated reimbursement amount.

Submitting an SSQ Claim by Mail

Some plan members may not be able to submit electronic claims depending on their plan. If this applies to you, you will need to submit your group insurance claim through the standard mail.

Every form that SSQ offers is made available to print from their website, for example, an SSQ dental claim form. Furthermore, the Customer Centre has personalized SSQ claim forms if applicable to your situation. Ensure that you attach any original receipts or additional documents that SSQ requires along with the completed and signed form.

If you can’t locate the specific SSQ financial group dental claim form you are looking for, or any other type of form, you can call 1-888-651-8080 from Quebec or 1-888-651-8181 from other provinces for assistance.

Through The Use of SSQ Insurance Card

An easy way to reap the benefits of an SSQ group benefits plan is to present your SSQ insurance card at either the pharmacy or dentist’s office. The expenses that your group coverage plan covers will automatically be deducted from your total in most cases.

If not, your contract may offer deferred payment, which means that the pharmacist or dentist will submit the claim to SSQ for you.
